Fancy Flyin

As the Kobukson takes off, explosions can be noted throughout the town on the ship's sensors. The Kobukson flies out of the atmo and into the black where a single cruiser and three fighters are patrolling. Only quick wits and fast moves will get this intrepid crew past the patrol.

The second the cargo is back on board, Dorota dives into engineering, straps herself in properly...and starts trying to give Michi extra power.

"Cargos's secure, Captain! Go! Go! Go!" Karl yells over the comms as he makes sure everything is secure and isn't going to slide all over if things get bumpy as they leave.

Sarah staggers to the floor of the cargo bay, bleeding rather profusely from the shot to her arm and leg, swearing rapidly in Chinese as she looks almost more annoyed that she got shot than in actual pain. Oh, she /is/, but that's what all that training was for. "HE CHU SHENG ZA JIAO DE ZANG HUO! LE SE!" With that, she tries to grab a hold of a crate or something to pull herself to a modicum of uprightness.

Michi looks out the cockpit window, peering at the Alliance ships. "Cao ni zuzong shiba dai." She mutters as she turns the stick, veering the Kobukson away from the heavily armed and generally unfriendly purplebellies. She doesn't pick up speed. She's keeping it nice and smooth. A pulse burn at this time could turn this from a departure into a chase if the Alliance hasn't noticed them.

Carina curses quite profanely, but not very prolifically. "We've been bugged! They're coming after us, but not because of us. They're chasing a beacon signal, a transponder for a big transport ship." She slams the button on her console and transmits that message throughout the tiny vessel, and then unstraps herself and launches herself through the hatch towards the rest of the ship. "Check the crates, look for that signal!" she shouts. But she is not heading for the cargo bay. No, she's heading ... for the kitchenette. And the bear.

Sarah grimaces and leans against the engine crate, trying not to move too much as she pulls an unusual looking widget from her pants pocket. She adjusts the dial a bit, peering at the readings as she slowly moves it around the various crates... then she says, "Gou shi! The tracer is in Carina's room." She glances to Dorota and Karl, "The bear and the wagon!"

Being the man of action and not words, Karl rushes after Sarah after she exclaims about the tracker and its possible location. By the time he gets there he has a gun in each hand. A quick glance around and he has eyes on the target, one stuffed bear, locked and loaded he draws a bead on the stuffed creature and BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! etc etc etc, bullets fly, and the room is suddenly filled with fluffy peices of teddy bear ins and outs and fly around the room. Once satisfied that the thing is 'dead' he puts the guns away in a swift movement and rifles through the remains to find this tracking device.

"Stupid... gorram... probably using us as a distraction.... right now... bastards..." Michi grits her teeth as she punches the thruster buttons, hard and yanks on the stick, first to the left and then to the right. The entire ship shakes as she moves it faster and sheers corners quicker than any ship this size is intended to perform.

In Carina's room, the bear explodes into pieces. Within the wreckage, a fist sized object with little blinking lights can be seen. Sarah's device whines loudly as it identifies that device as the beacon. A piece of paper is attached to the device with the following words written across it. "Thanks for the distraction. For payment, speak to Terence at Terence's Electronics; Li Shen's Bazaar"

At this point, the fighters circle around the Kobukson, they are fast and they are determined. Shots ring out and they graze the kobukson sending a groan across the hull and sending everyone who is not strapped in, flying about. Michi knows they should have been dead on, but they're not. It was a warning shot.

Through the comms, the alliance cruiser hails the Kobukson. "Unknown transport ship, power down and wait for further instructions."

Meanwhile, the jarring hit on the ship caused something in the cargo bay to go boom!
